Meow, it's me...
The cat has some things to say to you.
Being a cat owner is hard sometimes, so I wrote a parody song that I think all of you long suffering cat slaves will appreciate.
Sung for 96 people as part of the parody comedy show "Sing It Wrong" in The Globe Theatre on 16th of Aug 2019, now you get to hear it too. Let me know what you think! Did I miss anything that really bugs you?
Thanks to Morgan Hunter-Bell for the video work. So much appreciation for that! #Performance #Mus

Fate of Isen - A year of RPG
Dungeons and Dragons has always been a love affair of mine. From a teenager the ability to dissapear inside a character that could save the world, gave me the best times with friends. Now D&D has given me something else, a way to find my performing voice. Fate of Isen is a D&D 5e actual play podcast recorded in Wellington, NZ. Four comedians and friends got together to play a game and ended up on a quest to save the world of Isen. Listen in as the Dungeon Master (Brad Zimmerm

Wellington Comedy Awards 2017
This year at The Wellies, we had an awesome videographer on site interviewing the comics and capturing the craziness of the night. They've put together a wee video clip for us so you can check it out! Watch and Like! The Wellington Comedy Awards #CapitalComedyWellington #Comedy

I won a Wellies Award!
The Wellington Comedy Awards are lovingly nicknamed 'The Wellies' and I help to run them as part of my comedy production company Capital Comedy. This year I had the awkward experience of presenting an award to myself on stage. Haha! It really didn't make it any less emotional to receive it or any less of a huge honour to be voted the winner. I had actually been nominated for 5 awards this year; for my own comedy performance Most Improved and for Best Joke (about vibrators), a

Julz and the Dress: Stories of a Divorcee
Hey All! I've been contemplating doing some of my own video'd with a handy cam, things on the topic of my divorce, marriage, life and wedding dress. I've been thinking about this for a long time. Longer than I'd care to mention. I always stopped because, who cares, why have I decided I'm the authority on these things, and what if it's crappy and no-one watches. Well, I've decided that I care enough to do it, I'm the authority on my life and my opinions so basically I can say

Sing It Wrong: Smashing Success
Our first ever Sing It Wrong song went off with a roar. Or should I stay started with it's own unique Theme Song sung by hosts Katie and Julz (me!), and with sweet harmonising started off the night with huge applause. The night only got better from there! Each performer bought something special to the stage, whether it was the panties they flung or the new rally cry for Labour that rang around the venue, and each left the audience crying with laughter. Eight performers, not c

The Wellies - Wellington Comedy Awards 2016
This year the production team of Sanjay Parbhu and Julz Burgisser from Capital Comedy's Blindset was asked to perform at the Wellington Comedy Awards as we won an award for Best Concept Show last year. What an honour to take the stage at such a prestigious event. We did a live topic forming improvised set with interesting results. We were again nominated for the same award this year. We were so excited to still be considered one of Wellington's top concept shows and we clappe

My First Parody Song!
Sneaky peek at the song I did at the show tonight you should have been at! Sing it Wrong. An amazing parody song show that is just always stacked with talent, full of laughs and Sing-A-Long's. I can't wait to hopefully do another show. Singing about my favorite thing ever and all its problems: HIGH HEELS to the tune of Bleeding love by Leona Lewis. Click to hear. Thanks Lisa for the video. Thanks Rhian and Shawn for the spot tonight. Amazing fun. 🎶🎙😂 Planning on writing mo

THE MENAGERIE - MY BIGGEST SHOW YET!
Ok. I'm not scared to admit that for this show I was nervous. The month before they had Ben Hurley as their comedian for the night. This month they got me. A little less hairy for sure but not as well known and certainly shaking a lot more at the knees. The Producer of this magical sensation is Rachel Rouge and spotting my wobbling walk, she was quick to reassure me that she was looking forward to seeing me up on stage and knew I'd have fun. So nervously I waited back s

#monkeybutt - The NZ Flag Debate
This is from when I went a bit crazy over the NZ Flag Referendum. I wasn't getting a lot of sleep and it was making me angry. Here's what I had to say about it. I started a #monkeybutt or #votemonkeybutt and it went a teeny bit viral being shared all over facebook and twitter and I even ended up in a little news article (which of course I can't find to link. Typical). Proud moment for little old me though. #Comedy
