Sing It Wrong: Smashing Success

Our first ever Sing It Wrong song went off with a roar. Or should I stay started with it's own unique Theme Song sung by hosts Katie and Julz (me!), and with sweet harmonising started off the night with huge applause.

The night only got better from there! Each performer bought something special to the stage, whether it was the panties they flung or the new rally cry for Labour that rang around the venue, and each left the audience crying with laughter.

Eight performers, not counting the hosts, sang their own parody song they'd written to a karaoke backing track they'd selected. From White Wedding by Billy Idol, to Drops of Jupiter by Train and back to Man, I Feel Like A Woman by Shania Twain, the songs were epic Sing-a-long tunes.

It may have been the best show I've ever been involved with and I was lucky enough to be both co-producer and co-host. By far the most fun I've ever had on stage before, I felt like I had found my element and I was super excited to share it with people who felt the same as me, both the comics joining us onstage and the audience who applauded and cheered the entire night and then asked for more!

So we have plans now to not only bring you a second show in the future, Nov 2nd 2017, 8pm at Fringe Bar, but there may be talks right now about video for those of you who missed out. Watch this space for more in the future.
